Dan, please tell us what is Canarytrace?
Canarytrace is a stack for speed measuring of web applications loading from user view and for analyzing browser behavior. Canarytrace views the web applications just the same way as the user and downloads a lot of telemetric data from the browser for the purpose of the analysis. If the threshold of any out of more than 60 metrics is exceeded, the client is notified about the problem and what causes it.
What is Tung’s responsibility in your company?
He acts as a frontend developer and seems to achieve also backend development knowledge gradually. To be more specific he prepares frontend for our new portal for Canarytrace SaaS.
There is time difference between Vietnam and Czech Republic (5 hours in summer and 6 hours in winter). How do you deal with this time lag?
This is not at all an issue for us, we hold stand-ups in the evenings and we are in regular contact during the day via instant messenger.
Communication is in English, which is not a mother language for you and Tung. Does this cause any issues for any of the parties?
We actually learn from each other mutually, sometimes very funny moments appear 
What helps sometimes is a use of other language (the one used for Canarytrace components writing) and experience with applications development.
What do you think about comparing salary and knowledge between Vietnam and the Czech Republic?
I have never employed a developer in the Czech Republic, nevertheless I know what salary they expect and what knowledge they should have. Vietnam is definitely a winner in that respect and I have been pleasantly surprised by the effort to deliver the code of the best quality.
